Sleepy Babe.

Wow it has been a while! I guess keeping up two blogs is a little harder than I thought.
Well, now at almost 20 months old (holy cow!) you are much more of a little boy than a baby. Bitter sweet. This is not really an update post but more of  a fun post.
Lately you have had this ridiculous ability to fall asleep anywhere but your crib. Observe...
in the grocery store...

in the stroller at the beach...

on cousin Jake...

snuggling with Daddy...

on a boat...

one minute you were playing with your old car seat that you brought in from the garage, and the next you were out...

in your high chair during lunch...

while watching Backyardigans...

and as you were climbing onto my lap...

You never cease to make me laugh.

15 Months!

On the 22 you turned 15 months!

Stats: WEIGHT- 22 lbs 17%
          HEIGHT- 32 in 77%
          HEAD CIRC.- 19 in 85%

Still tall and skinny with a big head. The Dr. was a little concerned about your weight but we are going to get it up before your next appointment. You are a really weird eater so hopefully I can figure something out to get some meat on you. I am thinking sticks of butter?

You are growing so much and getting smarter, funnier everyday.
You have this little cart that you love to sit in and push around and the other day you insisted on taking it around the block all by yourself.

You are still climbing like crazy and getting into everything.

You love being naked...

You have 7 teeth and show no sign of getting any new ones any time soon.
Church with you has gotten even harder. I have been taking you to nursery when you won't cooperate in class and sitting with you. This happens every Sunday almost the whole 2 hours. You do very well and love playing with the older kids. I am hoping that you are this good in 3 months when you get to go to nursery all by yourself (I am very excited for this day).  I have made friends with all the moms with kids your age that hang out in the hall ways during Sacrament meeting. I feel like we are all in our own special club and it is downright fun.
You have now entered the kissing phase. It makes me so giddy. Sometimes I get really lucky and you give me an open mouth kiss. Complete with drool.
You have now developed a serious case of motion sickness. This is the worst. Thank goodness we don't drive very often, but when we do you almost alway vomit. And not just a little bit. You empty your stomach and then some. I talked to your doctor about it and he gave me some pointers (since there is really no drug you can take at this age) so we will see if they work. We are supposed to be going to Utah soon and I hope we can figure it out by then or that is going to be a miserable trip.
Your new favorite toy is the "new to us" piano we just got.

Probably my favorite thing ever happened this past month. We have a beautiful water color of Jesus hanging in our living room.
I often hold you and stand in front of the picture and ask, "Who is that?" and then I tell you it is Jesus and you get super excited. Well, now when I ask you where Jesus is you run over and point to the picture. I can't believe how something so simple can make me so happy. Sometimes if I am lucky I catch you standing by it all by yourself saying "Sesus," your adorable way of saying His name.
Because of this (I think) you have said your first sentence which is, who is that?
You are also saying, who is this, what is that, and what is this?

You are understanding so much now. Probably too much to write down. I think you are super smart.
I love you baby boy. Words cannot express how much I love being your mother. You are so special to me.

14 Months!

It is getting pretty crazy around here. You have now entered THE CLIMBING PHASE.
This phase is the scariest yet. I can't look away from you for a second or you will be climbing up a chair and onto a table or couch or wall (yes, this has happened) box, or anything. Sometimes you somehow find your way on top of the kitchen table and as soon as you get up there, you dance. I don't know why you do this but I love it (the dancing- not the climbing). Now all of the kitchen chairs are on top of the table so that you cant get on top of it.

This chair is one that I don't mind you climbing up on. This was the chair that I was rocked in when I was a baby. My mom and I (mostly my mom) re covered the chair to match your room.
I was read many books, rocked many times, and sung many songs in this chair. I love it. Even the creaking it makes every time it rocks.
I catch you sitting on this chair, with a book on your lap, on a daily basis. You LOVE books so much. You make me read to you at least 5 times every day. I have pretty much memorized all your books. It's time to get some new ones... I love that you love books and I hope this stays with you throughout your life.
You now say milk and more which both sound like "mmmm". When you want milk you usually bring me your bottle or stand by the fridge and say "mmmmm" or when you want more you are usually sitting in your high chair asking for more food. That is how I know the difference.
You are understanding so much now! When you have a poopy diaper you bring me your diaper and grab your wipes. You are a dream come true. Except that when I go to put your new diaper on your fight me the entire time! I don't get why you fight. Because I ALWAYS win.
You are talking and babbling non stop now. It is soooo funny to us. You say something in your baby language and then look at us as if we know exactly what you are saying. It is too funny.
You know where your nose, mouth, and eyes are and you love to show other people where there face parts are too. You especially love noses.
You really, really, really like babies and especially your little buddy, Kingston. You love to pet his head which is so nice and you also love to show him where his eyes are. By poking them. Not so nice but we are learning! Hard to believe these boys are only one year apart...
You have officially discovered the pots and pans cabinet. Trying to fit into the pots has been a favorite of yours the last couple days... Why?
Having a backyard has been your favorite (and mine too). You love to climb right up into the chair and sit there (with a book or ball) until one of us comes and gets you.
Playing with dad is a Winston favorite...
You still don't like mommy kisses. We are going to work on that. You are such a boy... but I love it!
You do, however, really enjoy grabbing my hand and talking me on adventures all around the house. Most of the time you lead me to the front door, back door, my room or your room. If the bathroom door happens to be open (this is rare) then you always find out and I catch you trying to drop something (most of the time a brush of mine) into the toilet.
We have decided to now direct our Family Home Evenings to you. We basically just sing songs with awesome lessons (like I am a child of God) and a few fun ones (like the ittsy bittsy spider). Soon we will be able to do something with a little more substance. Speaking of songs you still love doing patty cake and you do this little piggy. On yourself. When I start the song you stop whatever you are doing and bend over and touch your toes and when I say we, we,we you throw your hands in the air... I could go on  and on about how awesome you are little man.
Having a boy is keeping me on my toes. It is so much fun and a little bit exhausting but I would not trade it for the world!

13 Months!

I am having so much fun being your mom. You keep me laughing every single day. I love that your personality and sense of humor are getting so developed.
At 13 months you are more active than ever.
This month you have been especially attached to me which has made getting anything done extra difficult. But I love that you will let me hold you and you snuggle me. It really is wonderful being able to have those tender moments with you.
You LOVE any fruit... When I gave you a slice of orange you even ate the rind and still wanted more.
You understand:
Go get the ball
Throw the ball
Come find me
Where is Winston? (every time I ask this and you are hiding you giggle)
Milk
Soft
Dog
I'm gonna get you! (that sounds creepy...)
You say "woof" when you hear a dog bark and "vvvvvv" when you are playing with cars.
Your new words that you say are:
Dog
Soft
Teddy (my parents dog)

You are terrified of the vacuum or any loud noise.

You love playing with any kind of remote, game control, or phone. This is what happened to my cell phone when I let you play with it...
Your current favorite toys are anything with bristles. You often go into the bathroom, open the drawer, reach into it to grab my brush or comb, and walk out brushing your hair... I don't think it's your dad's most favorite thing but I think it's hilarious. If there is a broom in a house you have some sort of super sense and you will find it! You LOVE brooms.
You love throwing balls (your dad does love this). You would do this all day if you could.
You love hanging out on the bean bag and watching the boys play video games...
You love to dance!
For some reason you love getting into baskets...

You also love to sing...

Being your mom is still the best thing ever. You dad and I love you so much, Winston. I think it's safe to that you are our favorite child.

IT'S BIRTHDAY TIME!

I have been waiting to get these pictures from Steven and they have finally been uploaded and I can get caught up!! It's a good day.
Winston, your Birthday was off the hook! But I am tired now. Having your Birthday 3 days before Christmas is going to be an issue... We can talk about it later.
To make your special first Birthday... special we started out the day with some homemade waffles which you LOVE

Opened a few gifts like a champ...
The Sunday before your Birthday we threw you a little Birthday party with family. Your dad made some delicious pasta that everyone loved. You had so much fun that...
...you actually fell asleep during dinner.
It was not big deal because you woke up just in time for gifts...

We sang Happy Birthday and presented you with your very own cake.
Turns out that you LOVE chocolate cake.

I mean. You REALLY love chocolate cake.
This was the ideal "baby cake eating." I was hoping with all my heart that you would just go for the cake and not just stare at it. You made me so proud.

Getting you cleaned up was not so fun... But totally worth it.
On your actual Birthday after your Breakfast we went to the park together. Just you and me. Like we do almost everyday. I will never get tired of it. Then when dad got home we went to Cafe Rio and got you a cheese crisp. I know you wont remember this but you better believe me when I say that your 1st Birthday was awesome. You have so many people that love and care about you. You are so lucky. And we are even more lucky to have you!
Happy first Birthday, Winston. We love you!
