One Year- Stats

I took you to the Dr. 2 days ago! Here is what your stats are.
Weight: 20.4 lbs.  15%
Height: 30.3 in. 65%
Head Circ: 18.7 in 80%

So, you are tall, skinny with a biiiig head. You can't even tell that it's big though. It might be because of your flowing golden locks.
You are right on track with all the things you are supposed to be doing which makes me glad!
You had 5 shots and 2 finger pricks. Breaks my heart every time. We found out that (just like me) you are anemic. That just means that you don't have enough iron in your blood and it makes you feel run down and tired. So! I have to give you iron supplements every day (in the form of drops) for a month and then you have another appointment to see how they are working for you. Other than that it was a good appointment and even though you are still a little guy and are growing!

I have a Birthday party post coming up soon but I wanted to post this while I was thinking about it.

10 months and walking!

This is how your shirts are looking lately... Super dirty and I don't even care.

Can you even believe you are at this stage? I cannot.
Last Sunday we were hanging out in the back of the Sunday school classroom during church (the back of the room is where those of us with babies go so as to not disrupt those who are actually learning something. It's actually great because you now have lots of little friends).
Anyways, you have really been into holding my hand while we walk around together. So, on Sunday your hand was in mine and we were walking around and all of sudden the cutest little girl just older than you walked by you and she wanted to play with you.
You saw her. Let go of my hand. And kept walking toward this little girl and you have been walking ever since. WHO CHASES AFTER A GIRL AT 10 MONTHS? I am sweaty for your teenage years.
I am so glad that your dad and I were both there to witness you walking for the first time.
You always get SO EXCITED when you do something new and we have learned that sometimes when you realize you are walking by yourself you get really excited and you giggle so much that it makes you fall. No laughing and walking for Winston. You will figure it out someday. But take your time. Don't grow up too fast!

The Cabinets

It turns out that your new favorite thing to do is getting into the cabinets and taking out everything. I can't even count how may times I clean up the cabinet messes you make in one day. But you are so cute no matter what you do that I just have to take pictures. And it turns out that you no longer give me a normal smile. And I kind of love it.

10 MONTHS!

WOW oh wow! You are growing up so fast!! It does not help either that you have always looked like a 10 year old boy. You are just getting so old so fast. But I still love it.
You are moving ALL OVER THE PLACE. Really. Your dad and I have started calling you "The Tornado". It is so fitting. You are a super fast crawler and you LOVE exploring and getting into EVERYTHING. If ever we cannot find you in the house 9 times out of 10 you are hanging out by the bath tub. You LOVE taking baths and splashing in the water. I am so happy that you like baths. It's the getting dressed part that you hate and fight me on every. single. time.
You now have 4 teeth. Your top two and bottom two. Your top two teeth have a big gap between them and I think it makes your smile even more cute. If that's even possible.
A few weeks ago you got sick for the first time. I took you to the Dr. and it turned out that you just had a cold that we just had to wait out. You got over it pretty fast, thankfully.
You are still mumbling and saying the same words but now you have also started this awful screech when you want something. You have also started to grind your teeth. Both of those kind of make my ears bleed.
I don't know if I mentioned this before but you have been standing on your own for a little over a month. You are very steady now (especially if you are holding a toy in your hand to distract you) and you have good enough balance to sit down from standing up without falling over. Just before you turned 10 months you took your first steps. I should say step because really it was just one. A few days later you took 4 or 5 steps... to your dads iphone. We are still trying to get you to take more steps but sometimes you forget to use your feet and you just stand there and reached so far forward to us with your hands that you topple over. And you think it is hilarious so you do it over and over and over again.
You have also been rearranging our fourniture. I think I mentioned that... At my parents house (where we now live) they have a chair that rolls and my brothers think it is hilarious to sit on the chair and have you push them. You are so strong. You push them all over the house. And it really is funny.
Oh, and another little thing you like to do is bite me. Only me. My toes, my fingers, my arms... It is so weird. I don't really like it because your little teeth HURT.
You still love being outside and soaking in the sun (you may look like your dad but I see little tid bits of me in there, and that is one of them) we go to the park almost everyday and I push you in the swings and let you play in the sand. You are still not a big fan of grass... It must not taste as good as sand.
You fascinate me and light up my life every day. I am so thankful we have you. Watching you learn, grow, and explore make me excited to wake up every day and play with you. However, by the end of the day I am spent. But it's all worth it. I love my energetic little man.
P.S. I forgot to mention that whenever you hear music you become and little JB and sing and dance. MY life is now complete.

9 Months- Sooooo late...

?
''

**Well I have been meaning to post this for a month now. Luckily I had it all written up and I just needed to ad the photos. Now that they have been added, enjoy!**
At you 9 month appointment we discovered that you are 18 pounds (21%) 29 inches long (74%) Head Circ. (75%). So you are mostly average, but on the small side in weight.
I want to tell you about your little teethers. While you were 8 months when you got your first tooth (the same age I was!). It is your bottom front right tooth. We got pretty excited... and then you turned crazy! You have been having a pretty hard time with teething. You now have your bottom left front tooth and last night I discovered your top right front tooth is coming in! Every time you get a new tooth your whole schedule gets thrown off. Lately you have been going to bed at 8:00pm and waking up at 7:00- 7:30am. It's been awesome. While teething you will stay up later than 9:00pm playing or crying and refuse to go to sleep. Then (just like this morning) you will wake up crying at 4:30am. It's really sad.
Speaking of crying in the morning I wanted to tell you one of my favorite things that you do! I have probably mentioned this before but in the mornings when you wake up you hardly ever cry. You just coo or babble until one of us gets you. It's the cutest thing and I love it!
Just before turing 9 months we took you to your first water park, Wet and Wild! You actually loved it. I took lots of video. Don't even worry. We really had so much fun that day as a family.
You know say two words and you actually kind of know what they mean! You now say HEY! It's the most adorable thing. You now actually call me momma! Even though you said it before I didn't really count it as a word because it was more like babbling. But now! If you want my attention you just say mom or momma. Of course I melt every time.
You are REALLY loud and you babble all the time. It's seriously SO funny. I can't help but laugh no matter where we are.
You understand some words but my favorite one is "cheeeese" (as in SAY cheeeese while I take your picture).
Whenever I say it you smile. Speaking of your smile, you now have a few different ones. Like these. You like to scrunch up your face. It's the best ever. The. Best.

8 MONTHS!

I have realized that unfortunately there is no way for me to slow down time. So every moment I have with you is a special one.
You are keeping me so BUSY! Within a few weeks of turning 7 months you started standing and walking along any and every edge you could find. So, obviously you have been falling much more and making more messes. Long gone are the days when I could lay you beside me on the couch and know that you would be completely content laying there. If I did that now, you would just crawl right off.
Among your ramblings (which are often and very loud) you have been saying ba ba and da da. When you are whining or crying you say momma. Although it makes me super happy I am almost positive that you have no idea what they mean so I am not sure I can count them. But you still say them so you are getting there!
You have this thing with sticking out your tongue.
Photobucket

For some reason you like to crawl like a bear. I love it and think it's cute. Obviously.
Photobucket

You LOVE other kids and playing with them. Anytime you see another kid (or your own reflection in the mirror) you get super excited. It's the best.
Photobucket

The other day you were walking around the house while pushing the garbage can along and you fell and got your first little cut. The garbage can is now in our pantry where you cannot get it.
Photobucket

Your favorite time of the day is when your dad comes home.
Photobucket

You seriously get so giggly. You love him.
Photobucket

You love to play. If I am sitting on the couch and you are around you will play with your toys for a little bit and then crawl up to my lap and try to get me to play with you. I love it. Also, if I have anything you automatically want it. It's cute. Most of the time.
Photobucket

You love puppies (who doesn't?).
Photobucket

You love the camera and every time I take it out now you automatically smile for it (the one thing I have taught you) and then you try to grab it.
Photobucket

You love standing up, and you love taking baths. And I love your cute little buns!
Photobucket

Dumpster diving. You know. (another reason the garbage can has been put away).
Photobucket

My favorite thing that you are doing lately. Playing with books. I read to you almost every day and I hope that you learn to love them.
Photobucket

When ever I am on the laptop you crawl up to it, put your little hand over the top, and try to suck on it. You would rather play with my cell phone, tv remote, or laptop over all of your toys.

Your little personality is coming out more and more and I LOVE it! You make me so excited to have more children someday.

I love you.

P.S. I forgot to mention that on the day you turned 8 months you got your second hair cut. It looks sharp!
